BNI Challenge 2018

Sailors helping sailors!

25th August 2018

The 2018 BNI Challenge celebrated its 6th edition on August 25th at the Royal Saint-Lawrence Yacht Club by organizing a regatta, cruise, dinner and auction to raise a record $35,000 for l'Association québécoise de voile adaptée, allowing people with disabilities, of any age or ability, to enjoy the freedom of sailing in Montréal's West Island. The 6 year total is now $150,000!

Thank you Business Networking International (BNI) for your sponsorship support and thank you all 30 boats, 140+ attendees and donors for supporting this important cause which makes sailing an accessible, safe and social activity for all to enjoy.

See you next year!

The BNI Challenge is a fundraising event for the AQVA organized by members of the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club in collaboration with members of other yacht clubs in the area. Funds raised from the challenge are donated to the AQVA, allowing the physically disabled to sail.

Two events - One day - One cause

1 - Pursuit Race

The pursuit race is a long distance race for sailboats. Each boat that registers raises funds by having donations made in their name.

2 - Cruise for the cause

The cruise for a cause is a power yacht fleet cruise. Each yacht that registers raises funds by having donations made in their name.

No entry fee required.

A donation page in each boats name will be set up, where friends and family and fellow sailors may donate directly to your boat. The link will be provided after registration.

We encourage each boat to set an objective of at least $250.00

All donations are appreciated and will receive a tax receipt.

All are invited to join in the festivities at the yacht club including beer for $1, a Silent Auction, dinner ($) and dancing.

AQVA sailors say thank you in advance!
